A gap analysis compares how you operate today with the standard you intend to certify. Done well, it tells leadership what to fund and in what order. Done poorly, it is a clause checklist with red, yellow, and green and no path.
WCH’s gap analysis covers the standard, plus customer-specific and regulatory overlays when they apply (IATF CSRs, FDA QSR, aerospace flow-down, privacy for ISO 27701).
You should leave a gap analysis with: a sequenced plan, a realistic calendar, a view of documentation that must be written versus practices that already work, and a clear picture of training and internal-audit needs.
If a firm will not do a gap analysis before quoting a full implementation, they are guessing. We would rather tell you the truth in week one than discover it in month six.
